How to become a sports agent also known as an athlete agent. Each states requirements are a bit different.

First what is an athlete’s agent or sports agent?

"Athlete's Agent" is defined as a natural person who enters into a contract of agency with a student athlete or, directly or indirectly, recruits or solicits a student athlete to enter into such a contract. The term includes a natural person who represents to the public that he is an athlete's agent.

This is the definition provided by the Nevada Secretary of State; even these definitions will change from state to state. Most require some kind of license application as well as a fee of course.

On top of all the bureaucratic requirements what does it take to become a great sports agent? What do you need to do to really make it in this game?
